Buy a Cow to Educate a HS Student in Rural Kenya

In kakamega 70% of 254,570 between the ages of 6-14 years access primary school and only 9%manage to join high school. We take this opportunity to thank our donors for what they are doing in our children's lives. This is our third semester since our children joined high school. During their school holidays, they came back from their boarding schools and we had a great time. They helped all the young children at the children home, planted flowers and trees at the home and the school. This is a good indication that they are appreciate and are willing to work harder not only academically but even by coming back and helping others. This could not have been achieved without our donors, their efforts and sacrifice in making this happen. These boys and girls could be now among the 9% who never manage to join high school, they could be now involved in child labour, prostitution and other tings that ruin their lives. We can smile now, Vivian was the best girl in Mathematics and German language! John Kamadi was the best boy in English! All these is because of you all who have given them to excel in their education. Vivian said that this chance is like gold in her life! She is looking forward to being a doctor and really working hard to see it happen. Vivian spoke at the meeting and encouraged the others who are preparing for their primary exams in November this year. We are proud of our donors for walking with us in this journey and for enabling these children experience the happiness they would have never found in their lives We managed to pay the school fees for this year for all the 16 children who joined high school this year. We are now preparing for the next year which we have to prepare to pay school fees again not only for the 16 who are already in high school but for 18 more who will be joining high school next year.
