“Step by Step: Little Jack's Early Intervention Journey”
Little Jack, born prematurely at 26 weeks, suffered from sepsis due to a bacterial infection, which caused shock and resulted in brain injury. His daily life is spent between home and hospital. Brain damage led to muscle hypertonia, limiting his growth, development, and mobility, requiring a specially designed wheelchair for outings. At the age of one, Jack joined Eden Foundation’s daycare program, beginning his learning journey.
With continuous training and guidance from his teachers, Little Jack can now understand some common instructions such as “It’s time to eat,” “Drink water,” and “Put your hand out.” Although he still has no verbal ability, he enjoys making sounds, interacting with others, and expressing his own thoughts. His progress and growth on the early intervention journey deeply move his parents, who share their daily therapy experiences on social media, becoming a strong source of support for many families of children with developmental delays.
