During Le Le’s early years, his family noticed that his vocabulary was smaller than that of other children his age. Although he once used a few simple words, his language ability gradually regressed as he grew older. He often resorted to crying instead of expressing his needs verbally. To better understand his condition, his parents took him to the hospital for a multidisciplinary assessment. Following the hospital’s referral, Le Le began his journey of early intervention and learning support.
Later, Le Le was enrolled in the day program at the Feng Shan Early Intervention Center. In addition to adapting to a new environment, he also needed to work on daily routines, overcome picky eating, and improve his attention span. These challenges were new learning experiences for him, requiring patience and encouragement from his parents and those around him.
After six months of effort, Le Le began to make noticeable progress under the guidance of the professional team. He became more accepting of different foods, could sit steadily during class, and actively participated in activities. Through the professionals’ guidance, his parents also learned positive parenting strategies to better support their child’s growth. The intervention not only opened new developmental opportunities for Le Le but also brought renewed hope to his entire family.
