At five and a half years old, Ah-Hong was diagnosed with severe intellectual and physical disabilities due to hydrocephalus at just five months old. Doctors once said he would remain bedridden for life. Yet his grandmother insisted, “He has the right to live,” and bravely shouldered the full responsibility of his care.
With the professional support of Eden’s early intervention day care center, occupational and speech therapists, and caregivers gradually awakened Ah-Hong’s stiff muscles, and his cognitive abilities improved step by step. Today, he can clearly call out “Grandma”—a hard-won milestone that reflects years of dedication and brings renewed hope to the family.
