Priscilla was one of thousands of Americans stuck overseas when covid hit and countries began to lock down borders.
She was exploring Peru with a friend. Their families sent them money so they could continue to stay in their hotel and be safe until they could get home.
Unfortunately Priscilla was attacked and sexually assaulted in her hotel room while she was sleeping. Her friend also woke up and helped Priscilla fight off her attacker. He fled the hotel and they weren't able to identify him.
Priscilla communicated by email with us for the critical emotional support she needed for several weeks until she returned to the USA. She is now receiving counseling at home.
