Gina was traveling in the UK with several of her friends. They stayed together for safety when they went out together. Gina left her group briefly to use the women's bathroom in a nightclub. As she walked down the hall a man grabed her and pulled her into a storage area. He gagged her, tied her up and threatened her with a knife. He wore a face mask so Gina would be unable to identify him. He sexually assaulted her then left her lying in the storage area.
When she didn't return from the women's room her friends began looking for her. They alerted the manager who conducted a thorough search of the premises and found Gina.
Gina was so distraught she could barely speak. The manager and one of Gina's friends called our hotline and with the help of one of our case managers, she was able to get to a local hospital and receive emergency medical attention and prophylactics. We are providing on-going case management and counseling to Gina. She has a long way to go to recover from such a traumatic assault. Because of donors like you, we are able to assist in the immediate aftermatch of assaults like Gina's. Thank you so much for your support!
