As always, we're thankful for generous donors, friends really, who make our work possible.
The majority of this year's general fund money sponsored a summer camp for children in the beautiful mountains of Western Ukraine. We hosted kids from our community as well as a handful of foster children, adopted children, and several kids displaced by the war.
Our volunteer leaders are pretty much experts dealing with the trauma that most of us are experiencing because of the war and approach all of our activities in an informed manner.
We've also spent some general fund money this past summer on a legal matter. We can't go into many details but the gist is that we're advocating for a young single mother and her two small children. In the big scheme of things, their story is repeated hundreds, probably thousands of times, in Ukraine.But we've inserted ourselves into this story so that maybe this time there will be a better ending.
