Dear Donors,
For many families in northeast Nigeria, hunger is not something they can simply wait out.
A mother may have food for one meal but nothing for the next. A father who once farmed his land may now be living far from home after violence forced his family to flee. Children who should be thinking about school and playing with their friends may instead be waiting for their next meal.
The situation remains very serious.
More than 2.3 million people have been displaced by violence and insecurity across northeast Nigeria, while millions of people in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe are facing severe food insecurity in 2026.
Behind these numbers are families.
Families who lost their homes.
Families who left their farms behind.
Families who lost livestock and income.
Families who have spent months or years depending on assistance to eat.
For Muslim families, Zakat can provide a lifeline at a time when there is very little left to fall back on.
Through this project, we plans to use Zakat to provide food parcels, nutritious meals, clean water, basic healthcare and other relief to vulnerable families affected by conflict and displacement.
We will give attention to children, women, older people, people with disabilities and households facing severe hardship.
The need is made worse by rising food prices, insecurity and the loss of access to farms and livelihoods. Many families who once produced their own food can no longer do so.
A food parcel may seem simple, but for a hungry family it can mean several meals.
A bag of food can give a mother something to cook for her children.
A meal can help a child sleep without hunger.
Basic healthcare can help a sick family member receive care instead of being left without help.
Your Zakat can put food on a family's table.
It can help a mother prepare a meal for her children.
It can help an older person who has no income.
It can help a displaced family receive basic healthcare when sickness comes.
And it can remind someone who has lost almost everything that they have not been forgotten.
We invite you to share your Zakat through this project and help us reach families facing hunger and displacement in northeast Nigeria.
You can also share this project with your family, friends, mosque, community groups and anyone who may wish to give.
May every act of Zakat bring food to a hungry family and hope to someone who has been through too much.
Thank you for standing with families in need.
