Dear Donors,
Thank you for caring about Muslim families affected by conflict and displacement in northeast Nigeria.
When a family has very little money, every need competes with another.
Food costs money.
Medicine costs money.
Clean water may cost money.
For a family that has lost its home, farmland and income, there may simply not be enough.
This is the reality facing many displaced families in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.
Years of conflict have left millions displaced and unable to return to the lives they once knew. Humanitarian assistance has also fallen short of the needs of many communities.
A parent may have to decide whether to buy food or medicine.
An older person may go without treatment.
A child may receive less food than they need.
This project will use Zakat to provide emergency food, nutritious meals, clean water and basic healthcare to vulnerable Muslim families.
We will give special consideration to children, women, older people, people with disabilities and households facing severe hardship.
Zakat can help take one difficult choice away from a family in crisis.
A meal can ease hunger.
Medical care can help someone who is sick.
Clean water can protect a family from illness.
May Allah accept every Zakat given through this project and bring relief to those who need it.
With gratitude,
Zahra Yasir
