Progress and Challenges in TB, HIV, and AIDS

By Noel Banda | Project Leader

‎As part of our ongoing efforts to promote health awareness, we're shining a light on the current state of TB, HIV, and AIDS. Despite progress, these diseases still pose significant challenges globally, including in Malawi.

‎Meet Esther, a TB Survivor from Merinia

‎Esther, a 35-year-old mother of two from Merinia, was diagnosed with TB in 2022. Despite initial fears and stigma, she sought treatment at her local health center and began her journey to recovery.

‎"At first, I was scared and didn't know what to do," Esther shared. "But with the support of my family and healthcare providers, I was able to complete my treatment and regain my health."

‎Esther's story highlights the importance of early detection, treatment, and support in overcoming TB. She's now an advocate for TB awareness in her community, helping others understand the disease and seek help when needed.

‎"We can beat TB together," Esther says. "Don't be afraid to get tested and seek treatment if you're diagnosed."
