Greetings,
We're thrilled to provide an update on our tailoring skills training program, which has made significant strides over the past six months. Our inaugural cohort of women has completed their first phase of training, where they've acquired essential tailoring skills.
Building upon this foundation, we've delved into more advanced techniques, focusing on creating school uniforms to support their children and later progress to diverse clothing designs, including traditional Maasai garments meeting international standards, reusable pads, innovative upcycled creations. This expansion of skills not only enriches their craft but also enhances their ability to generate income and adapt to climate challenges.
We're inspired by the progress and determination of these women as they continue to develop both their skills and confidence. Through their dedication, they're not only securing better livelihoods for themselves but also fostering resilience within their communities.
This journey of empowerment is ongoing, and we're deeply grateful for the support of our donors and partners. Together, we're making strides towards sustainable livelihoods and community development.
With heartfelt thanks,
Ashe Oleng (with gratitude)
