Great News,
Now five (5) Refugee women in Goma who finished in our Tailoring Center are now self-employed, they are making their clothes just from their homes. Most of them made Uniforms for the students as school started here in Goma-DRC which they are still selling iin order to earn a living, before they did not have this.
Thanks to all those who have supported, we are on the way to make refugees more productive and not being viewed as problems but rather as solutions.
Uwimana told us " this time I did not spend money to buy Uniforms for my four (4) children who are going to school, I made these Uniforms myself and also other people are coming to buy from here. I saved 30$ which i was supposed to buy Uniforms. I'm so happy and thank you so much, please consider to train others also"
Our next step
To mobilize more funds in order to train 25 more refugee women in the next six months, to hire a better place for this women to work from in order to get more money and help them with the necessary equipment.
