Tailoring: A Small Business Skill for Afghan Women

By Shehab Yacoobi | Project Manager

Thanks to your generous support, Afghan women continue to gain life-changing vocational skills through our tailoring program. Participants receive practical training in sewing, garment production, and small business management, giving them the confidence and ability to earn an independent income despite the many restrictions they face. Many graduates have already begun sewing clothing for their communities or operating home-based tailoring businesses, allowing them to provide financial support for their families while preserving their dignity and hope.

Beyond technical training, this program is restoring confidence and creating lasting opportunities. As more women complete the course, they become role models within their communities, sharing their skills and encouraging others to pursue economic independence. Your compassion is helping transform lives by replacing uncertainty with opportunity and empowering Afghan women to build a more secure future for themselves and their children.
