Economic recovery starts with opportunity. In Borno State, thousands of adults are ready to work but lack the means to restart their lives. This project will empower 350 vulnerable adults, including women and displaced persons, with business training, startup support, and mentorship. By enabling small enterprises, participants will earn stable incomes, support their families, and rebuild dignity while contributing to local economic recovery.
Conflict has destroyed livelihoods across Borno, leaving many adults unemployed and dependent on aid. Families struggle daily to afford food, healthcare, and education. While many people have skills and motivation, they lack access to business knowledge, startup capital, and guidance. Without targeted economic support, poverty persists, aid dependency deepens, and communities remain unable to recover sustainably.
This project offers a practical and proven pathway out of poverty. We will equip 350 adults with business and financial literacy training, support them to develop viable micro-business plans, and provide small startup grants or tools. Ongoing mentorship and monitoring will ensure businesses grow and adapt. Priority will be given to women and displaced persons to maximize inclusion and resilience.
When adults earn, families thrive. This project will enable 350 households to achieve stable incomes and reduce reliance on humanitarian aid. Long-term results include improved food security, better access to healthcare and education, and stronger local markets. By strengthening small businesses, the project promotes self-reliance, community resilience, and long-term economic stability in conflict-affected Borno State.
