Soap making for Health and Income in schools
By Jawanghe Joseph | Project Leader
We sincerely thank our generous supporters and the GlobalGiving team for helping us advance our School Children Soap Making Project. Through your contributions, we have received $126, which has enabled us to train school children, young mothers, and community members in liquid and solid soap production.
The funds were used to purchase training materials and ingredients, allowing participants to gain practical skills through hands-on learning. Together, we successfully produced quality soap products that were distributed to 20 households within the community.
The beneficiaries are now using the products for improved hygiene and sanitation, while some participants have started exploring income-generating opportunities through soap making. This project is also helping us strengthen the children's SACCO, which will support vulnerable learners with educational needs.
Thank you for making this impact possible. We kindly request your continued support as we work to reach more beneficiaries and create sustainable opportunities for children and families.

Strengthening Community Self-Reliance
We are delighted to share another milestone made possible through the generous support of our donors and the GlobalGiving community. The $126 raised so far has enabled us to continue empowering children, young mothers, and community members with practical soap-making skills.
During the reporting period, participants successfully completed training in the production of both liquid and solid soap. The project provided all the necessary materials and ingredients, ensuring that trainees gained hands-on experience throughout the learning process.
The finished products were distributed to 20 households, improving access to affordable hygiene products and encouraging regular handwashing practices. Many participants have expressed interest in starting small soap-making businesses to supplement their household income.
As we continue this journey, we are working toward expanding the children's SACCO so that proceeds from soap sales can support vulnerable children with school requirements. Thank you for helping us build stronger and more self-reliant communities.

Creating Sustainable Opportunities for Children
Thank you to our valued supporters and the GlobalGiving team for your continued commitment to our mission. Your generous contributions have enabled us to make meaningful progress in empowering vulnerable children through skills development and entrepreneurship.
With the $126 received, we organized soap-making training sessions involving school children, young mothers, and community members. Participants learned the complete process of producing high-quality liquid and solid soap, from measuring ingredients to packaging finished products.
The project also supported the purchase of training materials and production supplies, allowing us to create soap products that were distributed to 20 households. These families are now benefiting from improved hygiene practices while exploring opportunities to produce soap for additional income.
The success of this initiative demonstrates the power of community-driven solutions. As we move forward, we hope to expand training activities, increase production capacity, and strengthen the children's SACCO so that more vulnerable learners can access educational support. Thank you for making this impact possible.
