Fund 1000 Scholarships in Rural China for a Year

Hope all is well with you!

For the past three years, your donation has helped to lessen my family’s financial burden, giving me time to focus on my studies. I just want to thank you for all that you have done for us.

Time flies! Three years passed in a blink of an eye. Over the past years, I experienced life-changing events, such as my college entrance exam. Looking back, I realize that I have tasted the bitterness of failure, hesitation and tears many times. But the thought of my mom’s gray hair, grandma’s frail features, little brother’s angelic face, and your love and expectation always gives me strength and keeps me going. I know I must always do my best no matter how hard it is, as I am now the pillar supporting my family with the passing of my dad.  

Although the journey toward higher education is full of obstacles, I have always believed that diligence and persistence will lead to success! I may have gone through many dark moments, but the love and kindness from you shine through the darkness and fill me with the confidence to overcome any fear and adversity I may face. The donation from you not only helps me financially, but also motivates me spiritually.

I decided to become a teacher, my way to pay back my teachers and school for the education they provided with me.  I was thrilled to learn that I was admitted by Jiaozuo Normal University. My major is elementary school education. I am determined to devote myself to a career in education, as I believe that would allow me to pass to others the love I was blessed with. With regard to high school education in rural areas, I believe the facilities in those schools should be improved. For example, the dormitories are not equipped with air conditioners or fans, which make it hard for students to get quality sleep in summer when it is very hot and humid.   Furthermore, the lack of qualified teachers remains an issue in many schools. If teachers’ wages are increased, more people will want to become a teacher, and the quality of education in those areas will improve eventually.

I will keep working hard to improve my knowledge and skills and to adjust to new environment. The future is bright, and I will embrace every day with smile on my face.
