Project Report | Sep 12, 2023
Caring for our youth

By Rodrigo Amarilla | Project Reporter

Dear donors:

We are writing to give you an update on the progress of the "Empowering +200 Young Soccer Players in Paraguay" project.

We are pleased to report that the project is going well. During this time, we have held the following workshops:

Violence Prevention Workshop: This workshop was held by the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence for the 54 young athletes from the youth divisions of Club Cerro Porteño who live at Azulgrana Róga. The workshop focused on raising awareness about the different types of violence that occur today, and how to prevent them. The workshop was led by Ms. Licia Martínez from the Prevention Department of the Ministry of Childhood and Adolescence.

Understanding our diet: a Nutritional and Anthropometric Evaluation session was conducted for the athletes with the objective of understanding the body composition of each individual. This information allows for enhancing their physical qualities and capacities, as well as establishing training and dietary criteria.

The measurement of skinfolds was carried out by certified nutritionists (ISAK), helping determine the percentage of body fat, muscle mass, and the potential for growth. This assists parents, athletes, and coaches in developing their best version!

Internet and Social Media Workshop: This workshop was held for the athletes to raise awareness about the proper use of the internet and social media. It covered topics such as cyberbullying, online predators, and the importance of digital citizenship.

We believe that these workshops will help the young athletes to develop into well-rounded individuals who are equipped to deal with the challenges of today's world.

We would also like to thank you for your generous support of this project. Your donations are making a real difference in the lives of these young athletes.

We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the project. Thank you for your continued support.
