Dear Alhassan Donors, Supporters, and Believer

Thank you for donating for our initiatives for raising “Social Awareness about Differently Abled in Egypt” project. This project is mainly what our mission and vision are about. We believe that by changing the mentality of our community and how they perceive physically-challenged people, we will spend less time and effort demanding wheelchair users’ basic human rights; it’ll be a given to consider their needs.

We believe that every child with disabilities deserves to feel unconditionally loved, valued, and accepted, regardless of their circumstances or abilities

If my child has a disability and is bullied at school, how should I deal with it?
When your son or daughter comes home from school upset because of bullying, it’s a tough situation. But in that moment, it’s important to stay calm and make them feel safe and supported.

  1. Listen and offer comfort:

Tell them: “I believe you, I’m here for you, and it’s not your fault.”
Don’t minimize what they’re feeling, even if it seems small to you.

2. Reassure them they’re not alone:
There are people who love and support them. Not everyone is like those who bullied them.

3. Act wisely:

Talk to the school and find out what happened.
Speak calmly and ask for clear steps to protect your child and prevent the situation from happening again.
You don’t have to shout… but you do have to take action.

4. Build their self-confidence:

Encourage them to take part in activities they enjoy.
Celebrate every step they take. Always remind them they are strong and special just the way they are.

5. If you find they can’t move past the situation:

Consult a psychologist — emotional support is important at this time.
Your child doesn’t need to “change” to be accepted by others…
What needs to change is society — so it learns to respect differences.

Together, let’s change mindsets, break barriers, and build a future where every child thrives with confidence and joy.
