After another strong year in 2025, during which we further expanded our impact in China, we are proud to share some of our achievements from 2026 so far.
From January to May 2026, our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program reached over 200 primary school students in Shanghai, many of whom participated in sessions at our own Community Center in Minhang. During this period, we recruited and trained 23 volunteers, who, together with our trainers, delivered over 246 lessons helping children recognize, understand, regulate, and express their emotions.
For many years, our SEL program has focused on creating safe and respectful spaces where children feel encouraged to express themselves and explore their emotions. Through interactive discussions, games, and hands-on activities, students developed essential skills in emotional self-awareness and regulation, empathy, collaboration, and goal-setting.
In the coming months, we plan to further strengthen our SEL support by introducing more individualized support for children and families, while deepening engagement with parents and the wider community.
None of this would be possible without the commitment of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors, and the continued encouragement of our partners and supporters. Together, we are giving children across China the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
