We started a new Project! Find out more!

By Luciana Sucupira | Project Leader

Dear Revoar´s friends and supporters,

Instituto Revoar is turning 5 this year and we have great news! We are expanding our work outside of Rio de Janeiro!

This March we started a new socio-emotional education project in the city of Correntina, in the state of Bahia! This project is called “Educators in Connection” and aims to prepare public school educators to carry out socio-emotional education activities with their students in the classroom! The project is aimed at 50 people, including educators and school managers.

Educators in Connection is an experiential project where we invite participants to experience socio-emotional skills in themselves, in a process of self-research, in addition to a theoretical and practical approach to building socio-emotional class activities and drawing up a Socio-emotional Plan for the school!

The project will last for one year and is divided into two stages - (1) Intensive Training and (2) Accompaniment and Mentoring - which will be carried out in a hybrid format, with a mix of face-to-face and virtual activities. We started on 03/12 with a face-to-face immersion with the educators in Correntina and will continue until June in a virtual format, when we will close the first stage with another face-to-face meeting. We have weekly meetings of 2h15min with the participants, in addition to complementary asynchronous activities!

We are happy to hold yet another Educators in Connection course, with the possibility of taking socio-emotional education to about 1,500 students in the city of Correntina!

We share here some records of the activities already carried out in this Project!

Gratefully yours,

Instituto Revoar
