Projects in 2024!

Dear Revoar´s friends and supporters,

 

We started 2024 with the objective of carrying out socio-emotional education projects for educators and young students already in the first semester, continuing our commitment to contribute to the quality of education in Brazil, promoting a certain kind of integral education which values the development of human beings in all their dimensions. We also understand the importance of socio-emotional development for the quality of mental health of both educators and students.

Therefore, this April we started the ninth edition of the Educators in Connection Project, in an online format, for 80 professionals from municipal schools in the state of Rio de Janeiro and other municipalities in Brazil. This Project aims to train education professionals to intentionally include socio-emotional development in their pedagogical practices.

We believe that the first step towards socio-emotional education is for educators to look at themselves, so we invite them to experiment and experience socio-emotional development directly through the methodology we developed. For Revoar, this is the basis of socio-emotional education. Therefore, we will have weekly meetings over two months, each lasting 2 hours, in addition to monitoring the pedagogical practice of these professionals, seeking to motivate and encourage them to continue after the end of the Project.

Furthermore, we are in the planning phase for a Vocational Awakening Project and Life Project for high school youth at a state school in Rio de Janeiro. This school has many socially vulnerable youth in its student body who, in their last year of academic life, must deal with a lack of perspective and insecurity about the future. The Project seeks to explore the dreams, values, interests and strengths of each young person, through different activities and methodologies, relating these aspects to decision-making for the future. This process of self-knowledge will be consolidated in a Life Project where young people will also exercise thinking about their next steps and actions based on the path taken with Revoar.

Lectures and workshops are also goals for the first half of 2024, continuing our mission with education in Brazil.
