Our campaign to light up the slums of Manila is coming to an end! A very big thank you to our 39 generous donors who have collected 100% of our goal! Many thanks also to GlobalGiving for the matching funds it brought to our collection.
ATECO, Entrepreneurs du Monde energy access program, will be able to bring light to 240 new families in the slums of Manila. This project is having a rapid effect on: 1. families: they benefit from healthy, quality lighting, and are able to save; 2. fitters and collectors: they have an income and are proud to be involved in improving their neighbours' quality of life; 3. the environment: this is no longer polluted by greenhouse gas emissions and spent batteries.
