Project Update from Mayan Power and Light
Empowering Communities, One Solar Panel at a Time
Dear Friends of Mayan Power and Light,
We’re excited to share some inspiring progress from the field—and it’s all thanks to your continued support!
At Mayan Power and Light, we believe the most powerful solutions to poverty come from within the communities we serve. By combining renewable energy, clean water, and education, we’re helping build healthier, more resilient futures in some of the most remote and underserved parts of Guatemala.
Over the past few months, our team has been hard at work installing solar power systems and life-saving water filters for families living without basic infrastructure. These essential technologies do more than improve daily life—they reduce harmful emissions, lower energy costs, boost productivity, and help prevent respiratory and waterborne illnesses.
We’ve also partnered with like-minded nonprofits to ensure even more families, children, and students benefit from clean, reliable power. These collaborations amplify our impact and allow us to reach more communities in need.
ATC’s founder, John Barrie, is currently in Guatemala, working alongside our team, partners, and local families. His presence on the ground reinforces our commitment to hands-on, community-driven solutions that truly meet local needs.
We’re deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together—and even more excited about what lies ahead. With your help, we’re proving that thoughtful, community-led innovation can light the way to a brighter future.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Your generosity is making a real and lasting difference.
Warmly,
The Mayan Power and Light Team
