Gaza Strip
We partnered in the water provision project in the Gaza Strip with UNRWA.
Water is poured into special jerrycans, but when they are in short supply (or when the 25-liter tank is too heavy to lift), it can be carried in small bottles. Anything can be used to increase water supply for the day.
Residents of a former school in Deir al-Balah that has been converted into a shelter list water as one of the three things they need most, right next to food and privacy.
The water we delivered in partnership with UNRWA reached over 100,000 residents of the devastated Gaza Strip – daily! In a place where the whole water infrastructure had been destroyed, it was the only source of clean water.
Lebanon
Classes at the GLOW Community Center continue as usual, six months after its reconstruction. It was very important for us to rebuild the Center and restore hope to young people living in Lebanon. One of the topics of the classes is motion graphic. The photos show the instructor and the participants, eager to learn more about this subject.
Classes are provided by the Polish Humanitarian Action and International Humanitarian Relief - IHR in Beirut.
The project is co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland
Yemen
In Yemen, there are around 5.2 million internally displaced persons who live in temporary shelters, rented flats or camps. The floods and hostilities took away even this provisional shelter from some of them.
As part of the project funded by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund United Nations OCHA, we are able to provide dignified, safe and inclusive living space for 2667 people in 4 camps, located in Ma'rib City.
We distributed emergency tents to 40 families in need. We focused mainly on the single-headed female households, persons with disabilities, elderly, persons with no income, marginalized groups and people affected by the floods.
