What a difference 15 weeks of care and proper nutrition can make!
Thanks to the many dedicated people at Acres of Hope Youth Ranch, Ms. Paisley is well on the mend. This 24-year-old Quarter Horse mare has received much-needed care as she bravely battled malnourishment, lice, a hoof abscess, and low vitamin E and selenium levels. In just 15 weeks, she has been dewormed multiple times, vaccinated, and received a much-needed dental.
The next phase of Paisley’s recovery will focus on gradually increasing her exercise tolerance to help rebuild muscle mass. With a few more months of care, you’d never guess all that she’s been through.
It’s truly amazing what can happen when donors, veterinarians, fosters, haulers, and farriers come together to help horses like Paisley in their time of greatest need.
