Standard Chartered Youth League
Standard Chartered Youth League

Karachi United is a football development organization and runs several initiatives to promote football and personal development among young players in low socio-economic areas.

Karachi United offers football training and life skills sessions at its 12 community centers, where players aged 4-20 are coached in football tactics and skills. The monthly visits to community centers allow the team to assess the players' performance levels, gather valuable feedback, and gather crucial data for future enhancements and innovative initiatives. KU also participates in football tournaments and friendly competitions, promoting teamwork, leadership qualities, and diversity among these players. In addition to promoting football, Some of the initiatives KU took in the past four months were:

  • SCB Youth League:

Karachi United participated in the Standard Chartered Youth League to promote player development and bridge the gender gap through football. The league is open to all youth and aims to encourage female participation.

  • Monthly Visits and Data Collection at Community Centers of Excellence:

Karachi United conducts monthly visits to community centers to observe player performance, gather valuable feedback, assess overall performance levels, and organize friendly matches and drills.

  • Life Skills Training Sessions:

Karachi United offers young players football and life skills training in 12 community centers thrice a week. These sessions include group discussions, role-playing, and team-building exercises to instill crucial values in players.

  • Football Sessions:

Karachi United provides free football training to young players in 12 community centers thrice weekly. These sessions include friendly matches, skills competitions, and drills customized to suit the players' age and skill level.

In addition to football training, KU provides youngsters equal opportunities to participate in football tournaments, promoting teamwork, leadership qualities, and diversity among these players.

In October 2022, some players representing Karachi for the Qatar tour were also selected from these academies.
