Hello Dear Friends!
Summer is here and our work is ongoing. Romania Animal Rescue's work was featured in the May edition of Dogs Today Magazine UK. Dr. Aurelian Stefan ran for our charity in the London Marathon as a recognized charity runner in April!
The Spay Shuttle has been visiting many new villages to pick up dogs and takes them to the Center of Hope for veterinary treatment, spay/neuter, and deparasiting. Following their recovery, the animals are returned back to the communities from which they came. This unique project is successful thanks to your support. $25 or £19 will spay or neuter a dog. This is an investment in the future of animal welfare, no more puppies born to suffer, no more pregnant females abandoned, no more in heat females abandoned. We have now surpassed 75,000 spays and neuters with our project, and the work is as important as ever. Thank you for helping us!
HOPE is our spaymobile ambulance. Hope reaches factories and private yards, as well as shelters, to provide on the spot spay and neuter and veterinary care. Hope will be a part of the Hope Tour 2019 this year. Last year Hope toured throughout 2500 km of Romania, to the mountains and villages, as well as cities, to provide spay/neuter, veterinary treatments, and education. RAR was a sponsor of this great achievement.
Our Mobile Spayathons take the team to many towns throughout the year. These campaigns last for more than 2 days and average 50 animals per day spayed or neutered by the Dream Team of RAR vets and techs. Local organizers plan the campaigns weeks in advance and find suitable locations for our work. Volunteers come to help and the whole community gets involved, including the mayors.
Our hubs are the Center of Hope near Bucharest and Family Vet in Craiova. These two veterinary hospitals allow us to continue spayathons for the animals of impoverished citizens, caregivers, and rescuers. No healthy animal is turned away as long as we have the funds to provide spay/neuter.
I hope you will continue to support this extremely vital work that is the true solution to stopping the suffering of unwanted animals.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion!
