Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support during this extremely difficult time. Our work in Romania continues throughout this crisis, as the animals still need our help.
We have been extremely busy in the past three months. Our first documentary was released in early January. This half hour film will show you some of the work we do and introduce you to some of the team. Please view it here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/B-op61wk1KA
In other news, we are proud to announce that RAR has reached a milestone in the number of spays and neuters. As of March 1, we are over 80,000 spays and neuters. 80,876 to be precise. This amazing accomplishment is the result of the continued support we receive for our work from fabulous donors. Thank You!
There is a busy road that leads to the train station. People abandon dogs in that area, usually puppies, in heat females, or pregnant dogs. Therefore, we posted a banner on the road that reads "Why do you dump me in the forest? To die of thirst and hunger! Spay my mother, it's free! 0749 NEUTER" ( phone number for the Center of Hope). As long as we can continue to get donations, we can continue to provide this service to save these poor animals.
The activities of reaching out to rural communities has continued during a mild winter. The Spay Shuttle continued to pick up and transfer animals for spay and neuter at Center of Hope. HOPE spaymobile provided on sight spays and neuters for yards and shelters. Center of Hope Bucharest and Family Vet Craiova were receiving patients. Lots of work, lots of compassion.
We are currently getting a new animal welfare book and coloring book translated from English into Romanian. These books were gifted to us to use by Lakes Animal Friendship whose founders Valerie and Alistair wrote and designed the books. Crayons have been shipped to Romania for the children.
We hope you are well and staying healthy. This current crisis will pass. The animals are eternally grateful for your support for this charity's work.
THANK YOU DEAR SUPPORTERS
