Dear Friends,
During this extremely stressful time, our focus continues to be on helping the most vulnerable. For us, these are the animals who still need our veterinary help and care.
The vet clinics have been set up for social distancing so that the animals still receive help without endangering our vets and nurses. As the work continues, so does our need for help from our donors. Thank you for your continued support!
This half hour film will introduce you to some of the work we do: the who, what, where, when, why
Also, we are pleased to announce that we have surpassed the 80,000 spay and neuter milestone! As of March 1, RAR has spayed and neutered 80,876 animals!
This incredible work has seen to it that millions have not been born to suffer a miserable life. Thanks to our marvelous supporters!
There is a heavily traveled road outside of Bucharest where people often dump dogs and puppies. Perhaps people are unaware that the Center of Hope offers free spay and neuter (as our donations allow).....so a banner was placed in the area! "Why dump me in the forest to die of hunger and thirst? Spay my mother, it's free!"
The Spay Shuttle travels to remote villages and receives animals for transport to the Center of Hope for spay/neuter and veterinary treatment, later returning the animals to their caregivers. HOPE spaymobile travels to the yards of guardians and shelters who have numerous dogs, supplying on the spot spay and neuter. Meanwhile, at the Center of Hope Bucharest and Family Vet Craiova, the lifesaving spay and neuter continues at the clinics. Only with donations can we do this hard yet vital work. Thank you for your ongoing support.
In other news, we are currently having new education books and a coloring book translated, thanks to Lakes Animal Friendship who loaned us their books to use. These will enhance our outreach to the communities and children to teach animal welfare.
All of us at Romania Animal Rescue wish you and your loved ones the very best, stay safe and stay healthy.
Thank you for helping the animals from the poor country of Romania.
Sincerely,
Nancy Janes
