Greetings Dear Supporters and Friends,
Our work has continued to humanely control unwanted animal births in Romania. The COVID 19 virus has had a negative impact on the donations we receive for this work, but we trust that this will change. The animals and the impoverished guardians and rescuers who love them depend on our ongoing work that is changing communities for the better. Through our years of education and hard work, people understand the importance of spay and neuter which is a major shift from when we first began these programs in 2004.
RAR is now over 83,000 spays and neuters of dogs and cats, all thanks to donors support. Our charity has trained other vets via the Veterinary Training Program so that they can return to their communities and provide highly skilled surgeries for the animals.
Our featured story is Ms. Maria who lives in Piteasca Village where the Center of Hope is located. She is 90 years old. Her sweet dog means the world to her, and after yet another litter of 6 puppies, Dr. Aurelian was able to convince her to have her dog spayed. Maria cried tears of joy when she received her healthy girl back from surgery.
This summer we have been spaying/neutering in villages near Campina, those near the Center of Hope Ilfov Bucharest, and at Family Vet in the city of Craiova.
In August we will have a new campaign for Calarasi villages, and return once again to a community near Timisoara to hold a campaign for 200 spays and neuters.
This work is possible thanks to YOU, OUR WISE DONORS who know that compassion begins with humane animal control.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
