Entering a New Chapter for Spay Neuter Success

By Nancy Janes | President, CEO and Founder

Greetings Friends,

Our latest update includes our mobile campaign work as well as work in our clinics.  The biggest news is that we are building an extension on the Center of Hope property (outside of Bucharest)  that will be exclusively for expanding spay and neuter services and outreach.  We are asking for donations of $20 in our Buy a Brick campaign if you would like to contribute to this endeavor.

The mobile spayathons have been launched to reach towns including Tecuci and Peris twice this season, Dumitresti, Giurgiu, as well as traveling to Provita and Vasilati. These campaigns are set up in the towns and villages as a "mash" type campaign and locals bring in their dogs for spays/neuters and treatments.

Campina villages were helped 6 times using the Spay Shuttle whereby RAR picks up dogs and transports them to the Center of Hope for spay and neuter.  After full recovery they are returned to their guardians.

This season 3 new veterinarians have been trained on spay/neuter procedures with scholarships from Romania Animal Rescue to attend the Veterinary Training Camp.

Thus far in 2021 we have spayed and neutered 5539 dogs and cats.  Our total since RAR began is 92,995 spays and neuters.  We can do even more once the extension is built!

Your support is vital to this mission.  Thank you!

I hope you have a lovely summer and enjoy the outdoors!
