Greetings Friends and Supporters,
Romania Animal Rescue has continued its never ending mission to stop the needless suffering of unwanted animals through spay and neuter. We are now over 137,312 spays and neuters of cats and dogs as of March 1. Thus saving millions of dogs from ever being born into a place that cannot or will not provide for them.
Winter has kept our Dream Team from doing mobile campaigns, however we are gearing up to get back on the road with a huge animal hospital. 2025 brings new challenges and a new mission ahead: Romania Animal Rescue has purchased a used caravan to be converted into a mobile animal hospital.
This will reach hundreds of dogs in rural locations who have never seen a vet. It's a massive undertaking for RAR, but it is so necessary. We need to spay/neuter and treat animals who cannot get to our clinics. We will be able to treat the dogs right where they live.
Here is the list of supplies we will need to outfit our new (used) caravan: 4 surgery tables, 2 anesthesia units, 1 generator, 40 surgical packs, 1 autoclave, 4 powerful flexible lights, 1 natural gas tank, 1 microwave, good quality headlamps.
Some of these items can be purchased in the USA and shipped (surgical packs, lights, headlamps). The rest are best purchased in Romania due to the weight, size and chance of braking during shipping. We are reaching out to you, our fabulous donors, to help.
We have been contacting companies asking for their help with these supplies, so far to no avail. If you or your friends have any connections to secure some of these (must be new as we will using them on live animals and cannot have faulty equipment). Monetary donations will help us to purchase these supplies from Europe and Romania.
This is a massive undertaking, however with help we know it is achievable. We hope you are as excited as we are to take on yet another endeavor with us! Let's sterilize more dogs!
