Spay and Neuter Program Update – Thank You for Being Part of the Change
Since our last report we’ve been able to carry out 332 spay and neuter surgeries — a vital step in preventing suffering and giving animals a real chance at a better life.
Since the beginning of the year, 85 animals arrived at our shelter, 60 of them were puppies. During the same period, 76 adoptions took place, including 56 puppies. We’re proud to share that almost all the puppies that come to us are finding homes, thanks in large part to our twice-a-month adoption events at Portones Shopping Mall. These events have truly made a difference.
Still, each new animal represents a commitment — of time, love, and resources. One of the litters we recently took in had 12 puppies, all needing to be fed, dewormed, vaccinated, and cared for until they were ready for adoption. This is why spaying and neutering is so crucial: it helps us stop the cycle of abandonment before it starts.
Financially, it’s a challenge to keep this work going. We never know exactly how much we’ll be able to count on each month. New people learn about our work and step up to help, while others — due to their own financial situations — sadly have to stop contributing. We understand, and we are thankful to everyone who has supported us in any way.
If you're reading this, you're part of this journey. And if you can, we kindly ask you to spread the word, share our project, or consider an additional donation to help us continue saving lives and preventing suffering.
Together, we are making a difference.
Thank you from all of us — and from the animals whose lives you've changed.
