Thank you for supporting our children scale new heights in their academic pursuits.
We would like to take this opportunity to present an inspiring story of one of our children.
S belongs to a tribal hamlet in Visakha district. Her parents migrated to Hyderabad in search of work. They ended up as domestic help in Secunderabad and sometimes working as construction workers.
We noticed that S was not going to school and accompanying her parents to work. She was around 14 then. We requested the parents to send her to school. They were not sure as the financial situation was not good. We offered to pay for her school fees.
She was studying well and completed STD X with 81%. We continued our support for STD XI and XII. She recently completed her Degree from a Degree College on scholarship and some financial support from Sphoorti.
She got selected for a small IT company as a programmer.
She is an example of the impact education can create in the lives of children from not-so-privileged backgrounds. S is the first girl to complete Graduate course from her village.
