Dear friends,
The year 2015 is coming to a close. It has been a wonderful ride filled with excitement and a few anxious moments at Sphoorti.
Since September 2015, our children had a hectic schedule - Quarterly examinations, various cultural and sports events, and Dusehra and Diwali festivals. The children are looking forward to Christmas celebrations and our annual New Year Party.
In the month of October, our children celebrated Dussehra and Diwali with pomp and fervor. Our children were given dresses during the festive season.
Four children scored 10/10 GPA while eleven children scored more than 9.5 in their Quarterly examinations.
On Nov 27th, Cognizant (Hyderabad) conducted Talent Hunt Competition for unederprivileged children. 15 Sphoorti children won prizes in Dance and Painting competitions.
On Nov 29th, Badruka College (Hyderabad) conducted Sports Day in which 35 Sphoorti children won prizes. 70% of the prizes were won by our children.
Our Children's Hostel construction is under way. We are building a 25000 sq ft capacity 2-storey building. We hope to move in 100 children by June 2016.
Sphoorti was invited by the US Consul General for a dinner reception. It was an acknowledgment of our work in social sector.
In 2016, Sphoorti will celebrate its 10th anniversary. We hope that our friends will continue to bless our children with their generosity as they have been doing for the last several years.
