It is indeed a great news to share with each of you.
Thirteen Sphoorti children appeared for Grade X examinations this March and all of them successfully cleared the examinations.
Out of these, three girl children have received your support through our GlobalGiving campaign. We express our heartfelt gratitude for proving these girls a chance to chalk out their own destinies.
Sunita scored 8.8 and she wishes to pursue higher studies in Engineering or Applied Science. Swarna scored 8.5 and is sure about becoming an entrepreneur in future. She wants to set up a company, earn loads of money and sponsor girls like her. Swapna who scored 7.5 wants to be a software professional.
Just a few years ago, all these children were in traumatic conditions. Sunita lost her parents and her elder sister Rosy to AIDS. Swarna's father was an AIDS patient and died of Tuberculosis in 2012. Swapna's father had a heart attack and passed away in 2010.
While Sphoorti is implementing the project, it is the financial and moral support extended by people like you from a distance that saves the day.
Now our responsibility has increased many-fold. We require support for each of these girls to send them to Junior College (equivalent to Grade XI and Grade XII). All the thirteen children including Sunita, Swarna and Swapna will join a residential Junior College. We request our friends to support our endeavor to help these children finish their studies to the extent they are capable. And trust us, each of them can very well pursue Masters Degree and beyond.
Thanks a lot for providing us an opportunity to change lives. We are basking in the glory of our children's suceess.
