We take this opportunity to tell you the story of a girl in distress who was saved through your support.
This case study is about B who lost her parents in quick succession and was sent to Sphoorti four years ago. Her story is very inspiring for people who get depressed over small matters in life.
*Introduction
B (14) hails from Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. She lost her father in 2011 and her mother in 2012. She was brought to Sphoorti 15 days after the death of her mother. B came to Sphoorti in 2012. She was born in Jan 2001. She is in STD X this year.
*The Change
When B joined Sphoorti, her life was in disarray. Immediately after her mother’s death, she was brought to Sphoorti. We had to give her a lot of counseling to come out of the situation. For a few months, the staff members took care of her treating her as their own child.
After she started going to school, she started feeling better. Another reason for her to rejoice was that she was attending government school earlier. After coming to Sphoorti, she was attending an English private school. With every passing month, she gained self-confidence and has developed interest in studies. She also participates in dance and singing activities in school and at Sphoorti.
*The Conclusion
Bhargavi’s progress provides an example that through proper motivation and mental conditioning, children can cope with any distressing conditions. Though she lost her parents in quick succession, Bhargavi has been able to come out of it and get back to studies.
This is the real impact of the contribution from people like you. There are more Bhargavi’s waiting for your helping hand.
