55 year old Qadir has now become a regular patient at SHINE Humanity's clinic in Gharo. He had been frustrated with the quality of healthcare available in his own village and would have to travel a long way to Karachi to receive medical care for his Hepatitis C treatment.
A neighbour recently told him about our clinic in Gharo, where he could receive follow up treatment for his Hep-C. When asked to narrate his experience, Qadir says he is grateful to SHINE for not only providing low - income individuals like himself with free healthcare, but also ensuring that it is quality healthcare. The SHINE Humanity Clinic in Gharo is now his entire family’s preferred healthcare facility.
Addressing the Hepatitis C crisis requires a comprehensive approach that encompasses prevention, testing, and treatment, therefore SHINE Humanity has also partnered with the Liver Foundation, a non-profit organization working to eradicate Hepatitis from Pakistan by 2030. We will be supporting their mission through the provision of screening and PCR kits, medications, and Hepatitis B vaccinations, echoing our commitment to eliminate Hepatitis from rural communities, and ultimately across Pakistan.
