45 year old Asma, a busy housewife and resident of Dhabeji market, is now a regular patient at SHINE Humanity's Clinic. Asma was constantly worried about her health and overall well being which had been deteriorating for some time. She was always tired and constantly thirsty, she felt that something was wrong as she was also losing weight.
Upon the recommendation of a neighbor, she decided to visit the clinic where necessary tests were conducted. She soon found the answer to her concerns as the doctor diagnosed her condition as Diabetes.
Asma promptly started on the recommended treatment, and now expresses deep gratitude to SHINE for providing timely treatment and relief from her symptoms, especially considering her financial constraints. As a satisfied patient, she encourages others to undergo Diabetes screening and register themselves to avail of the benefit
SHINE Humanity Diabetes program promotes awareness and education amongst its participants. Stressing the importance of prevention, symptoms and self-management and also emphasizing lifestyle and dietary modifications. With help from our donors we have effectively influenced positive behavioral changes and encouraged healthier choices amongst the enrolled participants
