At Action Two Africa, our mission is simple yet powerful: we work to get children off the streets and back into the classroom. In Bungoma, many young people are born into generational poverty, where the inability to afford education keeps families locked in hardship. Without intervention, these children face hunger, exploitation, and a future without choices.
Education is more than lessons and textbooks. It is a lifeline. Each child who gains access to school is taking a step toward dignity, security, and opportunity. Together, we are changing the narrative for Bungoma’s youth, one classroom seat at a time.
This year, we have seen a growing number of children reaching out for support to stay in school. Many have lost one or both parents or live with caregivers who are unable to meet even the most basic expenses. Action Two Africa steps in to pay tuition, provide uniforms, and supply essential learning materials so that children can focus on their education and dreams rather than their daily survival.
We know that true education goes beyond paying for school. Our team provides mentorship, emotional support, and encouragement to students and caregivers alike. This holistic approach builds confidence and resilience and helps children not just attend school but thrive there.
Every child who returns to school creates a ripple effect of change. Families regain hope, communities grow safer, and entire neighborhoods benefit from the promise of educated young people who are equipped to lead. Education delays early marriage, lowers crime rates, and builds a stronger local economy, all of which contribute to a brighter future for Bungoma.
We are deeply grateful to GlobalGiving and every supporter who makes this work possible. Because of you, dozens of Bungoma’s most vulnerable children are sitting in classrooms right now, preparing for a future filled with possibility. Yet many more are waiting for their chance.
Your continued partnership ensures that no child is forgotten and that Bungoma becomes a place where every young person can imagine and build a better tomorrow.
