Project Report | Oct 2, 2023
We work to promote the right to participation

By Belkis Ramirez | Project Leader

We work to promote the right to participation of fathers, mothers or legal guardians of children, in the comprehensive training process of students.

As a Foundation, our project-based learning model for early childhood, we seek to generate development environments both in children's centers and at home, with the objective that boys and girls work as a team through the involvement of the family, this This was the case of the 17 participants of route 5B of the Children's Center of the Hatillo community in San José, Costa Rica, where we sought to provoke the intention that they play and create shadows as a family with materials from the environment or recycling, some groups . They used cardboard rolls with which they made shapes that will allow them to generate and reflect on the activity.

The families sent us photos and videos of the work process and then the boys and girls presented it in class to their other classmates.

Motivating spaces where families can share with their children in a fun and playful way will always be essential in the education and training of boys and girls, this allows them to learn more about what their sons and daughters are creating and learning. for themselves, in addition, which strengthens the relationships between the different members, as well as promoting learning spaces outside the children's centers to become part of a routine at home, generating collaborative and participatory learning dynamics from early childhood, as well as a transversal attitude that seeks to develop motivating and meaningful learning for the daily and future life of each boy and girl we serve.
