The children at the early childhood center became very interested in discovering what birds eat. By looking at different pictures, they noticed that not all birds eat the same things and that there are many different ways they find their food.
During the activity, each group chose a type of bird and drew what it eats to later create a mobile with their drawings.
Kristen said that birds eat fruits such as strawberries, blackberries, grapes, oranges, bananas, and watermelon. She colored each fruit carefully and added lots of details.
Jeikel talked about carnivorous birds and said that some eat snakes and fish, like eagles and seagulls. He wanted to draw a snake and a fish.
Samuel explained that some birds eat seeds, like corn, and he showed how birds eat them with their beaks.
In the end, the children concluded that not all birds eat the same, and that each bird has its own way of feeding.
