Dear donors,
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to those considering supporting this project. Your interest shows that women’s health and rights matter and that these conversations cannot wait. Although the funds raised are not yet enough to begin the podcast, your early support is a strong sign of hope and commitment.
In Nigeria, many women and girls still struggle to get safe and correct health information. Teen pregnancy remains common, unsafe abortions continue to claim lives, and sexual violence affects girls in homes, schools, and workplaces. According to national data, almost 1 in 4 girls experience sexual abuse before the age of 18, and many women avoid clinics due to fear, cost, or shame. Harmful practices like female genital mutilation also persist in some communities. These issues are often treated as private matters, leaving women to suffer in silence.
This project aims to create a monthly podcast that speaks openly about these realities. Each episode will feature doctors, community workers, survivors, and advocates who will share clear and practical information. Topics will include sexual and reproductive health, menstrual care, mental well-being, workplace rights, and where to find safe help. The podcast will be free to listen to and shared online so women in both cities and rural areas can access it easily.
The need is urgent. Silence allows harm to continue. With steady support, this podcast can reach up to one million listeners within seven months. By sharing trusted information and real stories, we hope to help women make safer choices and reduce serious health problems by at least 20 percent over time.
Your donation brings us closer to starting this work. Every contribution counts and helps keep this important conversation alive.
With thanks,
