Indian Association for the Blind (lAB), based in South India, is a well-known non-profit organization working to provide good quality education, employment, training and rehabilitation for the visually challenged from rural areas. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people. Till date, more than 11200 youths have been benefited by us and now hold prestigious positions in society.
Without Uniforms, it really made our students feel inferior in their Surroundings. They hate mingling with students of other schools. Your gift, $526 from 12 Philanthropists really enables us to make our students to have their own Uniforms. Thank you all for building confidence in visually impaired young people. We deeply appreciate your willingness to share the gift of oneness with these precious children!
Once again, we want to thank the philanthropist for their contributions and also the Global Giving who paved the way for us to utilize their donations from all over the world. We look forward to raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with Global Giving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.

The drive has helped provide uniforms to numerous Visually Challenged students over the years, rising close to 332 dollars since its inception, thanks to generous individuals and residents on behalf of them. There are many families that simply cannot afford to purchase the required school attire for their children. “We got a loud cry from parents telling us their children were not going to school simply because they didn’t have uniforms. We wanted kids to feel more accepted and feel that sense of belonging and not get teased for not having uniforms — so they could concentrate more on their studies.”
Once again, we want to thank the philanthropist for their contributions and also the GlobalGiving who paved the way for us to utilize their donations from all over the world.
