Concepción Center Expansion
The rehabilitation center in Concepción, Chile, has officially opened its doors, marking a significant milestone for the organization. This expansion was made possible through a generous sponsorship from Aramco, providing the necessary investment to modernize treatment facilities and increase physical capacity. As a result, the center is now equipped to serve thousands more burned children throughout the region, ensuring that all life-changing care remains completely free of charge.
Strengthening Communication & Outreach
By fostering a close collaboration between the U.S. and Chilean teams, the BCF has significantly broadened its communication reach. The implementation of a targeted social media strategy has been central to this effort, focusing on increasing organizational visibility and sharing impactful patient stories. These initiatives are designed to engage new supporters and strengthen donor retention, ultimately building a more diverse and sustainable community of support.
Passport to Hope: International Volunteer Experience
The organization is launching its first-ever international volunteer trip, "Passport to Hope," scheduled for November 2026. This immersive program will bring supporters directly to the Santiago center for hands-on volunteer activities and an in-depth look at rehabilitation programs. By providing this unique, first-hand experience, the initiative aims to deepen supporters' understanding of the mission and the real-world impact of their contributions.
Sponsor a Child Initiative
The Sponsor a Child Initiative remains a cornerstone of the organization’s mission, providing vital care to burned children across Latin America. Contributions to this program fund long-term rehabilitation, specialized therapies, and essential psychological support. By focusing on ongoing follow-up care, the initiative ensures that every child receives the comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment required to fully heal and thrive.
Looking Ahead
With the successful expansion in Concepción and the introduction of new engagement opportunities, the organization is entering an era of significant growth. This progress is fueled by the dedication of its partners and donors. Looking forward, the team remains committed to scaling its impact and is deeply grateful for the continued support that makes this life-saving work possible.
