Mitigating negative attitudes towards refugees in the Democratic Republic of Congo especially in Eastern part in Great Kivu.
More interactions are being done focusing on capacity building among refugees in North Kivu, by giving them accurate information on who they are, what they should advocate for, how they should do so and construction discussions on their different challenges.
At the same time one on one information meetings with different local authorities have been organized in order to share with the exact reality about refugee situation, and lastly trainings to key refugee leaders has been organized.
However the work is huge and demands efforts at all levels focusing on refugees themselves, the host communities, government authorities, the civil society, cultural leaders, the development partners and the entire population.
These efforts needs financial support which we have not yet been able to mobilize for one year now. However we still have faith and hope that we should all come on board for this cause.
