This initiative, supported through GlobalGiving, continues to create valuable educational opportunities for children from economically disadvantaged Dalit and other marginalized communities in Tamil Nadu, India. At St. Patrick’s Academy, established in 2012, approximately 780 students from primary to secondary levels benefit from a supportive learning environment guided by dedicated teachers and staff. During this quarter, approximately 700 students participated in the quarterly examinations, achieving an impressive overall pass rate of 98%. This encouraging outcome reflects the students’ commitment to learning and the continued efforts of teachers to provide quality education and academic guidance. The results demonstrate positive academic progress and reinforce the school’s commitment to helping children overcome educational barriers and achieve their full potential.
Alongside these academic achievements, St. Patrick’s Academy organized an NCC (National Cadet Corps) camp, providing students with opportunities to develop discipline, leadership, teamwork, physical fitness, and civic responsibility. These activities complement classroom learning and contribute to the holistic development of students, preparing them to become confident, responsible, and socially conscious citizens. Dalit Solidarity remains committed to ensuring that financial hardship does not prevent marginalized children from accessing education and participating in enriching school activities. The generosity of GlobalGiving donors plays a vital role in sustaining these opportunities, improving educational outcomes, and helping children build a brighter future. Dalit Solidarity extends its heartfelt gratitude to all donors for their continued support in advancing educational empowerment and creating lasting positive change in the lives of children and their communities.
