Two years ago, an airstrike tragically took the life of Maryam's father while he was at work in the city of Marea in northern Syria, leaving her an orphan. Since then, her mother has faced the impossible challenge of providing for their family with a seasonal job in agriculture, barely scraping by.
But Maryam has a dream—a dream to become a teacher. Her path to this dream has been paved by your kindness and generosity. Because of you, this orphaned child now has the support she needs, and she’s excited to start school and work hard toward her goal.
It’s people like you who make our mission possible. Your compassion and support light the way, not just for Maryam, but for countless other orphaned children who rely on this incredible community.
