In a tent that offers no real protection from the cold of winter or the heat of summer, little Raghad, nine years old, lives with her mother in Ataa Camp, located in the countryside of Jarabulus, northern Syria. She lost her father during the tragic events that swept the country, and since then, the face of her childhood has been marked by deprivation and heavy responsibilities. Her mother now carries the burden of survival alone, amidst the harsh conditions of camp life.
Raghad, who has known little more than fear and displacement, never asked for much—just enough food to ease her hunger, and warmth during the bitter nights.
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide a monthly financial sponsorship for Raghad, which helped her mother secure essential needs such as food, clothing, and basic supplies. This sponsorship was not just financial aid—it was a lifeline, a symbol of hope, and a small piece of dignity returned to a family that had almost lost it all.
Raghad's smile upon receiving the support said more than words ever could, and her mother’s tearful gratitude was a testimony to the impact of your kindness.
Continuing these sponsorships is the only guarantee of dignity for thousands of orphans like Raghad, who are waiting for your compassion to light up their dark days.
Thank you to every person who made a difference. You are the light in the shadows of their tents.
