Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, orphaned children remain among the most vulnerable groups, as many of them have lost their primary providers and now rely heavily on humanitarian support to meet their basic needs. Our field teams continue working to reach these children and provide assistance that supports them and their families.
One of these children is the orphan Ayman, who lives with his mother in the city of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip. Ayman lost his father due to the harsh circumstances that affected the region in recent years, leaving his mother with the full responsibility of raising and caring for him on her own under extremely difficult economic conditions.
Ayman’s mother faces many challenges in securing essential needs for her son, including food, clothing, and daily necessities, particularly amid the complex humanitarian situation, rising prices, and the lack of stable sources of income.
Through our Orphan Sponsorship Program, our team provided financial sponsorship support for Ayman to help his mother meet his essential needs and ease some of the burdens she faces while caring for him.
Ayman’s mother expressed her sincere gratitude for this support, which helped alleviate part of the hardship the family is experiencing and gave her reassurance that there are people who care and stand beside them during these difficult times.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all donors whose generosity supports orphan sponsorship programs. Thanks to your compassion and support, we are able to continue assisting orphaned children and their families and helping them navigate these challenging circumstances.
